After the Sinking Ed Keller and 21 other survivers were taken to the mountains north of Tokyo near Ashio.

There they spent Months as Prisoner of War working in the Copper Mines of Ashio.

After 22 months of terrible hardship the survivors of the Sculpin and there fellow POWs were Liberated by U.S. Forces on Sept 5th 1945

While in Prision Camp Ed wrote prison camp CookBook of all Recipts of all the food they would eat when they might someday go home to his family.

CookBook 3 was Pies and Cakes.

Mine Ed Keller was a Driller to make hole for dynamite. Muckers had to clear rock by hand.  Railcars take ore to the Smelter. Copper Ore going up to Smelter - Heat was used in the Factory.
